Account Deletion & Data Rights

Channels respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains how you may request deletion of your account and how we process such requests in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA.
How to Delete Your Account
You may delete your account at any time using one of the following methods:
• In-App Deletion: If available, navigate to your account settings within the Channels application and select “Delete Account.”
• Email Request: If you are unable to access your account, you may submit a deletion request by emailing support@channelsapp.co with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.”
To protect user privacy and prevent unauthorized requests, we may require identity verification before processing deletion.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Upon verified deletion request:
• Your profile will be removed from public view
• Your account credentials will be permanently deactivated
• Your user-generated content will be deleted or anonymized, unless retention is legally required
• Active subscriptions must be canceled separately through Apple’s in-app purchase system
Deletion requests are typically processed within seven (7) business days.
Data Retention & Legal Exceptions
Certain information may be retained for limited purposes, including:
• Fraud prevention and abuse detection
• Compliance with legal obligations
• Enforcement of our Terms and user safety policies
• Dispute resolution and chargeback defense
Retained data will be securely stored and restricted from active processing except where required by law.
GDPR Rights (EU / EEA / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you have the right to:
• Request access to your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to processing
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
CCPA / CPRA Rights (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
• Request disclosure of personal information collected
• Request deletion of personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information
Channels does not sell personal information.

Verification Process
To protect users from unauthorized deletion or data access, we may verify your identity before processing requests. Verification methods may include confirmation via your registered email address or additional documentation where legally required.
